Description: A circular walk from Seathwaite taking in Base Brown, Green Gable and Great Gable.
Route: From Seathwaite we'll ascend alongside the impressive Sour Milk Gill into a broad upland valley. Following the valley we then begin to climb before making a short detour onto Base Brown, taking in the views down the Borrowdale valley. After briefly retracing our steps we'll make our way onto Green Gable before crossing Windy Gap and climbing the last section to reach Great Gable. From here the views are impressive in all directions, with Scafell Pike and Wastwater particularly prominent. We'll descend via Styhead Tarn and Stockley Bridge before arriving back in Seathwaite.
