Note added 26 Dec: I have been to the car park today. It's very icy, and slippery. It will probably be a bit less tomorrow, but not gone completely. Please note that this walk will be dependent on the weather, so please let me know if you are coming. Due to the short days, you must bring a torch with you.

Start at 0930 at the car park at Irton Pike on the left of the road from as you head from Santon Bridge to Eskdale Green, NY122012. Click here for a map.

Route will be Irton Pike, along the ridge to Whin Rigg and Illgill Head, then down to Burnmoor Tarn, and back via Miterdale. Distance approx 11 miles, total ascent approx 600 metres.
