Car Parking: There are free parking places on the layby on the A591. Otherwise there are pay and display carparks in the village itself
We will head out of the village on Easedale Road picking up the bridleway up to Easedale Tarn itself, passing spectacular waterfalls. We will then cross Sourmilk Gill via stepping stones to pick up the path that will take us along the ridge to Tarn Crag. Once we have reached the summit we will retrace our steps until taking the path that will drop down the south slope od Tarn Crag until we reach the footpath that we will follow to take us back to Grasmere.
Distance: Approx 6 miles
Grade: Moderate
Time: Between four and a half and five hours
The leader reserves the right to modify the route or cancel the walk. If insufficient interest is shown in the walk, it may be cancelled.
Please inform walk leader Katie by text on 07709318941 before 6pm on Friday 7th April. Please do not send emails or posts on Facebook as these may not be picked up. Please can all attendees wear appropriate walking shoes and clothing along with a packed lunch and water for the walk. Anyone without the appropriate gear may not be allowed to participate for health and safety purposes.
