Sat 22nd April - Claif Heights

Car Parking: Red Nab car park, grid reference SD 386 995. Parking is free but limited

Meet Time: 9:15 for a 9:30 start. The reason for the early start time for this shorter walk is due to the limited parking.

Description: The walk begins along the shore of Windermere before turning up the bridleway by Belle Grange. It is initially a bit steep but soon lessens. We then follow the footpath that will lead us to Claife Heights summit where a trig point awaits us.  The view isn't very clear due to the trees but further along there is a clearing where some clearer views can be seen overlooking the lake and beyond. We then start to descend until we reach the bridleway that will take us back along the lake shoreline path.

Distance: 6 miles

Grade: Easy end of moderate. An initial steep ascent which then levels towards the summit.

Time: 3 hours

Disclaimer: If the conditions are bad the walk leader reserves the right to modify the route or cancel the walk. If insufficient interest is shown in the walk, it may be cancelled. Any one who turns up for the walk with insufficient footwear or clothing may be told not to join the walk due to their own and others safety.

Contact: If you would like to join the walk please contact Katie on 07709318941 before 6pm on Friday.
