This is an unreccied route.
Starting from Cow Bridge car park walk along the A592 and branch off to Low Hartsop. Bear right on a track following the wall that rises steeply to the ridge of Hartsop Dodd then head left towards the summit. Continue to follow the line of the wall to Caudale Moor (also known as Stoney Cove Pike), the highest point of the walk at 764m. Here again follow the wall leading west to Mark Atkinson's Monument before branching right to head down the north west ridge above Caudale Beck and quarry. A short walk along the main road leads to a track heading to the main path back along Brotherswater and back to the cars.
Hopefully there should be some grand views of Ullswater and Windemere if it's a clear day.
Some of this route may be on lesser walked and unmarked paths.

Car parking at at Cow Bridge (free) or alternatively up the road at Low Hartsop (also free).
