Start: Car park in Threlkeld, NY318256 From the centre of Threlkeld village, head along Blease Road. The car park is on the right just before the road bends to the left - see map below.

Route: We will ascend Hall's Fell ridge to the summit, then drop down to Scales Tarn for lunch. Return to the summit will be via Sharp Edge (Sharp Edge is an exposed Grade 1 scramble. This is optional - alternative route back to summit is available for anyone who doesn't want to do Sharp Edge). Once back to the summit, the return route is via Blease Fell. Please note that the ascent of Sharp Edge is entirely dependent on the weather and will be missed out in bad weather.

Grade: 3/4 depending on whether Sharp Edge is included
