Description: This should be a quiet route on a ½ term weekend, it however can be boggy in places so may have to have a re-think if rained a lot before hand!
Route: Circular route, taking in the Gatescarth pass, Mosedale Cottage, Swindale head and coming back to Hawswater over the Old Corpse Road.
High Point: 580m, but very undulating so actual ascent considerably more
Distance: Approx. 8 miles (13 km)
Time: Approx. 6 hours
Grade: Strenuous
