To make the most of the light summer evenings, and hopefully nice weather, every Wednesday during June I will be running a post-work walk. These will be around the west to the north of the county and everyone is welcome – in fact, why not bring your partner, a friend or a work colleague along as well? The more the merrier!
Typically around 3 to 4 miles, the routes have been selected to take in great views in scenic areas. During the walks, we’ll find a nice spot for a short break and have a sandwich and a mug of coffee (or whatever your poison is).
All routes are graded at the easier end of the walking spectrum, typically in the "leisurely" category, although there are “moderate” sections in a couple of them.
The meet time is 6.00 pm for all walks; this is so we can be walking by 6.15 pm. I aim for us to be back at the cars before 9.00 pm, long before the night starts to descend. However, please bring a head-torch in case we are delayed for any reason, as well as your normal walking gear.
Full details of the walks will be posted on the Summitt Good blogspot web page. Please text me to let me know you are attending by 9 pm the night before (so I know who to expect and nobody gets left behind).
I look forward to seeing you there,
Wayne
