Sun 8 Mar - Scorton, Nicky Nook & Grizedale

A walk on the Western edge of the Trough of Bowland, East of Garstang, across farmland & through woods, with good views from our local hill, Nicky Nook, returning via Grizedale & Scorton village.
Grade: Moderate (at the Easy end of moderate!)
Distance: 8 miles (13 km)
Height gain: 1082 ft (330m)
Starting point: Meet at 11.00 hours at the Picnic site just north of Scorton village, near Cleveley Bridge.

The walk should take us about 4 hours at a fairly leisurely pace. There is a pub & a tea shop in Scorton village about a mile from the end of the walk if we decide we are in need of cake or beer.
