Start from seathwaite, the walk then climbs alongside sourmilk gill. From there towards raven crag for a gentle scramble to Grey Knotts. The Path follows onto Brandreth with superb views to Ennerdale on a clear day.Follow the eroded path towards Beckhead Tarn but flanking right under Kirk fell and boat how crag. The path turns left for a rocky scramble to the summit. Follow to Beckhead Tarn and take more likely route down past great napes and napes needle to styhead tarn, follow path back to seathwaite.
