Sun 18 May - Great Langdale & Lingmoor Fell Afternoon Walk
This afternoon walk starts in Elterwater village and follows the valley floor of Great Langdale, returning over Side Pike and Lingmoor Fell. On Side Pike we will negotiate The Squeeze, a narrow gap between the fellside and a large rock, and it is quite a steep ascent to reach the top Lingmoor Fell - we may need our hands to steady us up the rock (nothing technical though).
Start: Car park on the north edge of Elterwater village Grid Reference: NY 329 051 (ie not the car park in the centre of the village)
Start time: 13:00/1pm. Note the late start time
Length of walk: 8 miles
Time: 4.5 – 5 hours
Total ascent: 400 metres
Grade: just about 3
Leader: Jeremy 07899 923019. Let me know if you’re coming, otherwise if I don’t hear from anyone I won’t be there.

Sat/Sun 10/11 May - Snowdonia Weekend
Organised by James and Fiona
Barbara and Jeremy are thinking of leading a walk (weather permitting) over Tryfan and Bristle ridge onto the Glyders. This is a very rocky scramble/ hill walk, an amazing experience, but not for the faint hearted. I will most likely be walking up to tryfan via the lake (llyn Bochlwyd). Snowdonia, if you have never been before is totally different to the lakes, its mountains are much rockier and wilder, though no bigger. There are lots of non-scrambling walks for those who prefer just using two legs.
Could all interested summit gooders get in touch asap in order to arrange car shares.
Contact fiona 07855290353 or james 07811847381
James and Fiona will not be leading walks on behalf of the Summitt Good Group.
