Distance 8 Miles (13km)
Duration 5 hours Grade 2 easy to medium.

Windermere station 9.15am for anyone in Windermere area (phone if you want a lift)
Place Fell 657m lies on the eastern side of Ullswater near the head of the lake, easily seen and easily accessible from Patterdale. The climb to the summit is not too strenuous and the views from it are dramatic and extensive. From the top we continue along the edge of the lonely, quiet valley of Boredale, overlooked by the bare slopes of Martindale Common, before dropping to the lake at Sandwick. The final section, along a path above the shores of Ullswater, one of the lovliest walks in the Lake District, taking us back to Patterdale.
