Start Point: Lay-by beside Brigsteer Road
(G.R. SD 502 917 @ 13.00)
Description: After crossing a gap-stile from the lay-by, the first field we cross was once Kendal's racecourse, then we ascend Scout Scar. We head N, along the top, to the stone shelter (which was built in 1912, then restored in 1969!) & carry on down to the Underbarrow Road. We then take the path onto Cunswick Fell (past the c.p.), then along the top of Cunswick Scar. From the top we head back SE, cross the A591, descend through Kendal golf course, Serpentine Woods & pop out on Serpentine Road.
